Summer is fast approaching and you're probably already planning which week you want to head to Ocean City, Maryland. When you're not soaking up the sun on the beach, or stuffing your face with blue crabs and orange crushes, you can attend the fun events found only in OCMD. While there are tons to choose from, here are five of our favorites...
1. Movies on the beach at the Carousel
Every Wednesday from June 1st to August 31st you can catch a family flick in front of the Carousel Hotel at 118th Street. Bring a chair, snacks, and your favorite people. Movies start at 8:30pm. Check out more information here.
2. OC Air Show
From June 18th to 19th, see majestic military jets soar over the beach with swift maneuvering that will leave you in awe. The show center will be located at 16th Street. For more information and how to purchase VIP tickets, click here.
3. Beach Fireworks
Every Monday and Tuesday from July 11th to September 3rd, catch the fantastic firework show which can be spotted from the boardwalk. The fireworks are shot off from North Division Street and the show usually lasts around 8 minutes. Check out more information here.
4. Concerts on the beach
These free concerts are located on the Caroline Street Stage on Wednesdays starting July 13th. From 8pm to 9:30pm, bring a blanket and relax with sweet tunes paired with an ocean breeze. Find out more information here.
5. OC Sandfest
We've all seen the amazingly detailed sand sculptures along the boardwalk. At the OC Sandfest, you can witness master champion sand sculptors create these works of art. Seeing the process is pretty impressive. Check out the event website here.
