Route One Apparel, the area’s original online source for trendy and affordable Maryland pride apparel and accessories, is expanding into online alcohol sales with the launch of its new site, Thirsty Turtle, found at thirsty.routeoneapparel.com. Named for the former College Park bar that inspired the first Route One Apparel design, Thirsty Turtle offers a wide selection of beer, wine, and liquor from Maryland-based breweries and distilleries.
Spirits from five local brands are currently available on the site, including:
- BC Brewery, Hunt Valley, Md.
- Tobacco Barn Distillery, Hollywood, Md.
- Blackwater Distilling Inc., Stevensville, Md.
- McClintock Distilling; Frederick, Md.
- Tenth Ward Distilling Company; Frederick, Md.
- Shmidt Spirits; Beltsville, Md.
- Twin Valley; Rockville, Md.
Route One Apparel is currently in talks with more than 60 additional brands and plans to grow the site’s selection significantly in the coming weeks as it finalizes new partnerships.
