Get Festive In Baltimore!

Around this time of year, Baltimore transforms from Charm City into Santa's workshop! There are so many great events happening in B-More during the holiday season that it can be tough to keep track of them all. Worry not! We're scoped out some of the coolest, most fun things to do in Baltimore during December so you can feel that cheer all month long. Check out things like...

A Christmas Carol, Chesapeake Shakespeare Company

We all know the tale of miserly Scrooge, who learns a serious lesson about goodwill and compassion after being visited by three spirits (not the mention the chain-clanking ghost of his old business partner!). But you've probably never seen it set in Victorian-era Baltimore! The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company will change all of that. Come see this show all through December -- who doesn't love seeing classic tales with a Baltimore twist?

Monument Lighting, Mount Vernon, 12/7

All of that monument construction is done -- it's time to celebrate! The Washington Monument in Mount Vernon will be lit up for the holidays for the 46th year, and Baltimore residents and visitors alike will get the chance to take part in the fireworks and festivities. Want to take the kids or your friends to more free events before checking out the display? The Walters Art Museum, which is just down the road, is offering tons of fun and free stuff to do!

Baltimore Santa Crawl, 12/16

Feel like dressing up like Santa, a reindeer, an elf or a candy cane while you go visit the bars of Baltimore? Here's your chance! The Baltimore Santa Bar Crawl is sure to be the merriest bar crawl of the year. Sign up now for Early Bird tickets -- and don't forget to break out the Rudolf onesie!

Home For the Holidays, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, 12/16-17

What are the holidays without a little music? The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra has you covered on that end! Spend the weekend of the 16th and 17th listening to your favorite classic Christmas songs performed by soprano Alison Buchanan -- and the performance wouldn't be complete without a line of tap-dancing Santas!

Pandora Ice Rink, Inner Harbor, through 1/15

Make memories with family, friends and maybe that special somebody in your life, too -- the Pandora Ice Rink is the perfect place to do it! The rink is open now and will remain open through January. After you're finished shopping and sightseeing, what could be nicer than unleashing your inner child and gracefully soaring in circles. Or, well, landing on your butt a few times. Hey, it's all part of the experience!
