Any nicknames? My close friends call me “Lyss”, but my mother will call me everything from my Aunt Jennie to my cat Leo…
Major and Year: Studio Art major with a concentration in Graphic Design, Art History minor
School: University of Maryland, Collie Park
What do you do besides Route One? I am a design intern for Bethesda Magazine this semester, I am a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, and I occasionally work at the front desk in Stamp.
Interesting Fact: I am half Argentinian and half Icelantic. What an unbeatable combination.
If you could have 3 wishes/dreams granted, what would they be?
1. To own a million Pembroke Welsh Corgis!
2. To be a successful designer in NYC.
3. To always be healthy and happy.
Favorite thing to do on a Sunday?: I usually lay in bed and watch a hundred episodes of a show I am currently obsessed with. Right now it’s “The O.C.” (Yeah, I’m really motivated.)
Favorite drunk food: Anything with cheese as the main ingredient.
Funniest thing that has happened to you while out? Maybe not the funniest thing but--I rolled my ankle one night while wearing heels and didn’t notice until I woke up the next day. But, I still wanted to wear heels again the next night so I wrapped my ankle in pre-wrap and hot pink duct tape… Worked like a charm!
Favorite University of Maryland bar? I’m going to stay classy on this one and go with R.J. Bentley’s.
Favorite moment in R1: The launching of my very own line, The Pennington Collection.
